I would rather have my life as a nightmare

I would rather have my life as a nightmare and my dreams as my life.

The life around me is wrong, old are unloved,

Children are killed, women are raped, and men are deprived.

A voice tells me from deep within

I am living in a sick world

This diseased world needs cure.

In my dreams, old are cared for, Children are loved,

Women are respected, Men are privileged.

The dream keeps coming to me every night

The dream of a better life, where I know, no one is used.

Rape, killings, assault, dowry, corruption and many more

Poisonous viruses have eaten into our life,

The youth must rise, must bring the medicine, a cure for this sickness

Until then

I would rather have my life as a nightmare and my dreams as my life.
